Everything You Want to Know
(Before You Say Yes)

  • In-person classes begin on February 7th, 2026, and run every weekend until June 21st. You’ll meet in person at So’ham Studio on Saturdays for 6 hours, and online via Zoom on Sundays for 2 hours.

    Online Training Info: coming soon...

  • In-Studio Training: Saturday classes run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at So’ham Studio, and Sundays are held online from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. You’ll also have access to on-demand resources for flexible self-study throughout the week.

    Online Training:

  • Not at all. This training is open to all levels, whether you’re new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice and understanding.

  • Soma Yoga is a science-based system developed by Dr. Jivasu, combining somatic awareness, classical yoga, and neuroscience. It’s a transformational method for both teaching and personal growth.

  • In-Studio Training: classes are held at So’ham Studio — 361 Jackson St. West, Hamilton, with free studio parking and nearby access to Locke St.

    Online Training: Zoom video conferencing and on-demend video catalogue

  • In-Studio Training: All Saturday sessions are held in person at So’ham Studio, while Sunday sessions take place online. You’ll also get full access to on-demand video courses from Dr. Jivasu, class recordings, and course materials through our online student hub.

    Online Training: All components of the training are held online.

  • In-Studio Training: Yes — we offer payment plans for both the Early Bird price of $3,199 CAD and the Regular price of $3,499 CAD.

  • No prior training or somatic experience is needed. This program is accessible to anyone interested in body-based healing, personal growth, or helping others.

  • We require 80% live attendance, but missed sessions can be made up by attending other Soma programs or through recorded replays.

  • Yes! You’ll receive a 100-hour certificate through Soma in partnership with the Canadian Yoga Alliance.

  • Yes—but unlike traditional yoga, the physical component of this training focuses on gentle somatic poses that are guided by your body's own capacity and comfort. These movements are accessible to all body types and do not require any prior yoga experience.

  • Absolutely. Many participants apply what they learn in therapy, coaching, education, caregiving, and wellness settings.

  • Yes, the program includes mentoring sessions with Dr. Jivasu and other experienced faculty members.
