Meet our Founder

Dr. Jivasu - Founder

Jivasu is a physician, philosopher, and seer of the body. He is the founder of Soma, a body and science-based teaching for complete health and transformation.

According to Jivasu, the body, of which the brain is an organ, is humanity's common ground. Awakening the body's wisdom can lead to a somatic revolution, liberating the human mind from fear, guilt, and trauma and helping to live in love, peace, and harmony with ourselves and the nature around us.

With his wife, Karen, a physician, he lived at the Sivananda Ashram in Rishikesh and then served in the remote villages of the Indian Himalayas for eleven years. Later, he taught a variety of yoga and meditation teacher training, acupuncture, and mind-body medicine in Canada, India, and worldwide.

Now, he is teaching Soma through in-person and online courses and workshops.

He is the author of many books and manuals, including Soma: Return to the body and Body Mysticism.
