Dr. Pradeep Kumar Jivasu, MD

Pediatrician trained in India. Studied mind-body medicine at Harvard's Mind-Body Medical Institute; acupuncture in Sri Lanka and at McMaster University, Canada. Spent 13 years as a volunteer physician in the Garhwal Himalayas. Forty years of international teaching in yoga, meditation, and integrative medicine. Developer of the Soma framework — a science-grounded system for working with the body as the site of identity, trauma, and transformation.

Dr. Shiv D. Talwar, PhD

PhD, University of Waterloo (Ontario). Former faculty at Thapar College of Engineering (India) and Conestoga College (Ontario). Founding president of the Spiritual Heritage Education Network Inc. (SHEN) since 2000. Develops educational frameworks bridging scientific, philosophical, and contemplative traditions.

Dr. Bhuvan Awasthi, PhD

Degrees in consciousness studies, cognitive science, and life sciences from Australian and Indian institutions; additional training in Indian contemplative traditions. Peer-reviewed research in consciousness, emotion, and decision-making — published internationally and presented across North America, Europe, Asia, and South America. Currently serving as Senior Behavioural Scientist with the Canadian Federal Government.

A science-grounded somatic education organization founded by Dr. Pradeep Kumar Jivasu, MD. Built at the intersection of clinical medicine, neuroscience, epigenetics, and contemplative practice. Serving a global online community of students and practitioners across North America, Europe, and Asia.

SHEN

A Canadian-registered educational network co-founded by Dr. Shiv D. Talwar. Developed the core curriculum for this program in collaboration with Soma Path. SHEN uses the neurobiology of transformation as a universal language bridging science, medicine, and contemplative inquiry.

Ubiquity University

A graduate institution based in Mill Valley, California. Confers the MASc and PhD degrees in Neurobiology of Transformation. Combines taught coursework with rigorous independent research and a formal dissertation requirement.
